Research

Findings: LieBeKlima

In an exciting dissemination workshop at the end of the year, the final research results were presented and a guided tour of the project area was given.

In the past months, the exploratory project has identified interfaces for the implementation of a cross-property and cross-system greening concept for the “Am Kempelenpark” neighbourhood in Favoriten. The close interrelationships between infrastructural greenery, rainwater and greywater management and the local energy concept were elaborated and packaged into requirements for further neighbourhood development. With a cross-thematic quality framework, in conjunction with measurable quality targets and requirements for a corresponding monitoring concept, the “lieBeKlima” project is treading a new path of urban, integral planning in neighbourhood development. If all actors in neighbourhood development pull together synergistically, pioneering projects in the field of cross-property and cross-system thinking can be implemented and a climate-resilient district can be created that can be imitated.

In an exciting dissemination workshop at the end of the year, the final research results were presented and a guided tour of the project area was given. The presentation was followed with great interest by the broad range of participants and concluded after a lively discussion and conclusion. For those interested, the recording of the presentation is available here.
