MUGLI is our mobile showroom on tour through Austria and the wide world. It makes building greening tangible and conveys information and knowledge to the general public in a targeted manner. Thanks to the integrated energy system and the intelligent water cycle, MUGLI is largely powered by unsautarkic energy. It is also a modular experimental space for existing and new technologies of our network partners and generates live measurement data on the climate on site as well as water and energy consumption. With MUGLI, we want to set new impulses for more green in densely built-up cities. We want to do this together, which is why MUGLI is also used as an event location for targeted stakeholder involvement and user feedback and is also available to network partners for this purpose.

MUGLI presents itself
MUGLI shows different systems of roof, façade and interior greenery. Visitors are informed by means of a guided exhibition. You will learn which different greening systems are possible, how different technologies work and what technology is behind them. In addition, monitoring on the plots is used to generate measurement data on the individual systems. Through the periscope you can explore the green roof with the wild bee hotel and the photovoltaic system. MUGLI shows how nature can be combined with architecture with the exhibition of beneficial insect facilities, such as nesting aids for swifts and wild bees. MUGLI aims to raise awareness and highlight the role of green infrastructure in cities to improve the quality of stay in urban spaces.
MUGLI started its roadshow through Austria in July 2018 with the first location at Vienna Central Station. Since then, MUGLI has had several locations within Vienna (Messe Wien, Columbusplatz, Museumsquartier, Neubau district) as well as in the cities of Feldkirch, Linz, Wieselburg, Klagenfurt and Purkserdorf. Numerous other cities follow. With MUGLI, Austria-wide impulses are set for the implementation of green building projects.
With its pool of experts from business, administration and science, GRÜNSTATTGRAU is a competent contact partner for questions on the topic of greening buildings and also offers workshops for roof and façade greening that are tailored to the target group. MUGLI will be used as a venue and a showcase.
