OIKODROM – The Vienna Institute for Urban Sustainability

OIKODROM, the Vienna Institute for Urban Sustainability, was founded in 1994 by Heidi Dumreicher.

We are a private, non-profit research institute following our goal to open spaces and opportunities in creating a sustainable future. We empower human actors through participatory processes, starting from local real-life situations. In a multicultural research network we use trans- and interdisciplinary approaches to generate theses and theories and connect scientific and non scientific knowledge.
