COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference

The COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference, hosted by the UK in partnership with Italy, will take place from 31 October to 12 November 2021 in the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow.

The conference is set to incorporate the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the 16th meeting of the parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP16), and the third meeting of the parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA3).

For the first time, the Parties are expected to commit to an enhanced ambition since COP 21. With soaring energy prices and regular pushbacks on climate reforms, it’s important that we as a community show up united and make sure that the radical systems change is put into practice by using innovation – the expertise of our community.

EIT Climate-KIC is leading or contributing to sessions related to climate innovation during COP 26 and is inviting you to join virtually or meet up in person. Please visit our COP26 event page to see our growing number of sessions that you can participate in, including event collaborations in the Blue Zone with UNFCCC, the European Commission, EIT Food and more. This page is constantly being updated with new information and registration links once they are available.

Besides attending one of our sessions you can also engage in the following ways with us during COP26:

  • Are you physically attending COP in Glasgow? Let’s meet!
  • Are you planning an event during COP? Add it to our website!
  • Are you planning a COP26 social media campaign? Share your hashtag with us and/or channels so we have them on our radar and can support them through our channels!

Simply fill out this survey if you can answer any of the three questions above with “yes”. Furthermore, we would kindly ask you to forward this mail to your communications specialist and encourage them to follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter as we will be releasing lots of content during COP and would be grateful for your social media support.
